Anger Cure
Lincoln's secretary of war, Edwin Stanton, had some trouble with a major general who accused him in abusive language favoritism. Stanton complained to Lincoln, who suggested that he write the officer a sharp letter. Stanton did so, and showed the strongly-worded memorandum to the president, who praised its powerful language. "What are you going to do with it?" asked Lincoln.
Surprised at the question, Stanton said, "Why, send it, of course."
"You don't want to send that letter," said the president. "Put it in the stove. That's what I do when I have written a letter when I am angry. It's a good letter and you had a good time writing it, and now you feel better. Now, burn it and write another."

1000 Stories You Can Use

.:REFLECTION:.
When somebody said something that seems to hurt or bother us, we thought of the best way to revenge or give back to the person what he/she needs to realize...most of the time, we explode easily with our emotions..that we forgot to consider their feelings with what we are to say in return.
Looking back in my life, I had made the same mistake to a relative. Misunderstood what had been heard and concluded with the wrong impression. Since then, it caused a great misunderstanding story on both sides.. and even until now..i know those wounds are still there. It is true that our words are powerful, it can inspire others, it can hurt or destroy others and even ourselves.
I pray for all of us, that may the cleansing of our tongues happen now, and may the healing power of Jesus overflow into us. May His love, peace and grace heals all our hearts, our pasts, our guilts, and even ourselves. May His healing power cleanse our thoughts, tongues and hearts desire as well. May each of us dwell in the love of God always.
GOD bless, GOD loves you.
