The Ground Breaking Ceremony for the construction of the proposed 1,300 square meter Multipurpose Building was conducted on January 10, 2012 at Sitio Tinago, Town Proper (Poblacion), Concepcion Romblon. The ceremony was headed by Municipal Mayor Lemuel Cipriano and Vice Mayor Pepe Ferriol.
The event was also attended by ABC President Medrito Fabreag Jr. of Bakhawan; Sibale Academy Principal Mrs. Tina Ferrolino; Mrs. Lita Fabellore of Concepcion Elementary School; Michael Faderogao, Admin Officer IV, CNHS; P/Insp. Orly Silla, CoP MPS-Concepcion; Brgy Captains Joveno Fabella of Sampong; Benerio Atillano of Masadya; Medrito Mosquera of Masudsud; Municipal Officials and Employees together with Sangguniang Bayan Members; SK Fed. Pres. John Arvi Ferriol; Engr. Villy Fallarme of Senior Citizens; DepED elementary school teachers and Sibale Academy students among others.
The multi-purpose building of LGU-Concepcion will serve as Evacuation Center, Sports Venue, Social Function Hall, Conference & Convention Center.
The municipal government released the initial budget of P500K for 2011, and for 2012, it’s P1M.
Sources of funds: 20% municipal development fund and community sharing such as labor, cash & construction materials.
