Faith, Life and Blessings

I had attended a wonderful mass yesterday, precided by Fr. Arlo Yap, SVD at the Christ the King Seminary, 6-7PM. That was great preaching I heard. And it was a solemn mass, indeed. I have seen the simplicity of the mass and felt the warmth embrace of God, as we celebrate the Eucharistic session. The lights were off during the second part of the mass, that was the blessing of the Body of Christ until the communion. People were healed and broken hearts were renewed. I cannot forgot that mass… i will always wanted to attend it even it will be far from my place.

I learned that salvation is not merely through speaking, but by putting them into action. It is not by simple believing, that we can say we have faith.. but by acting upon it. It is faith that we believe we are saved, and that we can do things through Christ only if we have this faith. And thus, obeying God's Will with faith is living a life blessed by God.

I like most the way Fr. Arlo put it this way: "If suffering is shared with others, it became sacrifices. And when sacrifices are given with love, they became blessings." It is the same way, as doing the Will of God. Sometimes, we are given choices or even tasks we cannot merely accept because it is difficult for us to do and obey. But when we have the courage to accept it, it is when we have the FAITH to do it and became blessing not for ourselves but for others, too. We are all given lot of choices, and may we always see the leading of the Holy Spirit to do the right things.
