  1. This another milesone brings us hope of recognition not only thru local media but in the world. Sabi ko nga lagi, Im proudly raised with my parents fom the wonders of sibale, thru its crops, natures and many more, what can i ask for? sibale is second to none, island full of hope and adventures to be true. lest not forget our island, that soon to be a premiere distanation not only in asia, of course, every sibalenhons dreamed off, to be the most referral vacation haven, in he whole universe!

After the sea cuccumbers were cultured in Bolinao Pangasinan, as seen on TV, they were allowed to grow in a shallow sea waters with sea weeds much like the one we have in Sibale. Maybe our government official in Sibale can also do the same. We all know that the sea cuccumbers population goes down in Sibale. Action is needed ASAP.

Time fly so fast, pamugati dati kinang balatan sa tangkuyan, asing pay pag kakuli ey.

Another delicacy that Sibalenhons are not aware of is “Urong” (fresh Water Lobster) asa kanipaan kina it Masudsud ag Agbatang. Sa Ormoc ag Cebu pag kamahay kina sa restoran. Ka pag kaubos it nipa ay directly related sa pagkaubos it Urong ang Ayama. Same is true with the destruction of corals in Sibale, so goes the balatan and other fish species.
Wake up sa atong Sibalenhon kaleng documentary: Preserve Sibale Ecosystem!

Thanks for the moderator for allowing the posts and adding the links. Yes, it is really heart warming to see our island and Kahimanwa being featured in a popular TV documentary program of ABS CBN “The Correspondents.” The persons interviewed like mang Adelmo Faderanga and Wenilo Zapanta are my ka-Barangay and I know them personally. Sitio Cambaknot was the site of the diving (as seen on the back round) and the breathtaking under-water photos of mang Adelmo’s group catching sea cucumbers are worth remembering to me. I grew up in that place and it’s inevitable not to remember my childhood and teen age years swimming and fishing around sea of Calabasahan. I hope that small fisher folks and farmers in our island be given more attentions for them to enjoy much better life. God bless Sibale!
