Ear, nose & throat diseases are commonly referred to ENT physicians. The proper term is “Otolaryngologist”, but most people find difficulty in pronouncing it (as myself) so we use ENT instead.
An ENT physician treats a variety of diseases, including:
Cholesteatoma | Recurrent or unusually severe infections |
Cochlear Implants | Rhinitis |
Common Voice Disorders | Salivary Glands |
Deviated Septum | Sinusitis |
Fungal Sinusitis | Sinus Headaches |
Head and Neck Cancer | Sinus Surgery |
Nosebleeds | Tinnitus |
Otosclerosis | Tonsils and Adenoids |
Perforated Eardrum | Trouble Swallowing – (Dysphagia) |
